| Left-hand side bar links will return you to the public site. Use your back button to return to the members' index and use paragraph headers for navigation The Webmaster's helpline......... Members are asked to help out with their ideas on the following problems and how IFOCAS can overcome any or all of them. Most members have many years experience of business or club life and their comments will be most welcomed What do do ( if anything at all) about a very small percentage of groups who join just to obtain access to the information in the members directories and the leave as soon as they have used this information to their own advantage ?Nothing ? Name and Shame ? Continuously changing the access codes is both time consuming and confusing to other members. What to do (if anything at all) about commercial sites which are sold-on for gain after being established. Although their IFOCAS membership is automatically suspended after we find out this has occurred and until the new owner requests continuation, it seems that the IFOCAS badge on such sites acts as a commercial endorsement (which is not actually the case). What to say to IFOCAS members who do not complete requested survey forms, or worse, who choose to flout our only condition of membership regarding the placing of an IFOCAS logo on their websites. Nothing ? Name and Shame ? or remove from the lists? At the moment we are doing nothing on this point. Should we have a mechanism for refusing membership - and if so on what grounds ?(apart from the recently introduced violation of CITES regulations clause) Some of these ideas are extremely negative and some positive input would be nice ................. Gerald. Please email replies to Secretary
